Short Update, and Comments

Last night I went out to a meeting where I saw a few people who haven't seen me for awhile. It was kind of funny, and I have to admit I especially loved the reaction of one mom-friend (our kids used to play together). She was walking down the hall and I was walking towards her (wearing my smaller, size 16 women's jeans and a new form fitting sweater and yep, even the new bra) and it was like she didn't even SEE me! She was about to keep going past me and then glanced at my face. I smiled, she stopped in her tracks as she realized it was me, and she exclaimed, "You're skinny!" Wow... THAT made my day! I mean, of course at over 200 I am no where near skinny but it made me so happy that she was so surprised that *that* was the first thing out of her mouth! Loved it. (And I don't think I have ever been called skinny in my adult life!) Another friend who hadn't seen me for a couple of weeks said to me last night, "wow, you just look so pretty!" and another commented that I look younger. I am in a space where I am getting more and more comfortable with the compliments and it's easier and more natural to wear clothes that actually fit well, rather than the bigger, looser clothing I had been disguising my body with over the fall and winter.

After going back on phentermine yesterday, overnight the regained two pounds dropped back off and I am sitting at 205 pounds again. I don't think I will make my "under 200 by March 1" goal, but I have one week left in February and hopefully another couple pounds will drop off soon. I have 199 in my sights for sometime in March, and want to get as far away from the 200's as I can before I have to stop the phentermine again... whenever that may be.

That is fantastic! I have always thought you look much lighter than your actual weight in your photos. I can't wait to see you surpass your old lowest weight.

You are a truly amazing person. I am praying for your success and I am sure many others do as well. God will carry you through.

I’m curious about what you said in return when you were called skinny!?

I would like to see more of what you're eating. Your Instagram can't possibly be all you eat, right? Are you not posting all of your food anymore?

Right. I generally only post actual meals on my Instagram. I always have dinner, and sometimes have a breakfast or lunch. I have a mug or coffee with half and half in the morning, usually. Sometimes at lunch time I have something small... like yesterday I had a Greek yogurt. Mid afternoon I might grab a few nuts or slice of cheese and a piece of fruit. Dinners I usually post, unless I am at an engagement where taking photos of my food would be weird/distracting. One dinner this week that wasn't pictured was at a social gathering where there was a buffet. I had a slice of meatloaf, two kinds of salads (green/veg and cabbage based), a few slices of apple, and 3 potato chips.

Today so far I had the coffee and a piece of chicken leftover from last night plus 3 chicken skins that I seasoned and baked until crispy. Probably will have a little something else before dinner.

That’s awesome! What a great surprise when someone acknowledges your hard work. Congratulations, and keep it up and you’ll see 199 in no time!
