Feeling Better

I'm a couple days in to easing back into AIP, and I'm already starting to feel better. I'm back to having decaf tea with coconut milk and honey when I first get up, and have been having my old favorite breakfast most days: bacon, avocado, and a Clementine (and sometimes some sweet potato too.) One day I broke out the juicer and made myself a big glass orange/carrot/cantaloupe juice, which was delicious! (Too much natural sugar for AIP, probably, but a good way to help myself get off the processed sugar and junk without massive headaches). For dinner last night I made steaks with roasted pumpkin and broccoli. Snacks have just been fruit, apple chips, or plantain chips, since I have not had time to bake anything yet. I've been drinking bone broth and kombucha every day, and at least half of my intake volume is produce now and that's a big improvement.

It's nice to feel things going in the right direction again. Hoping for a better weigh in this Sunday!

Great to hear the positives shine through. Even if those pesky scales choose not to co-operate this week you're making strides again.

I hope it's all going well and I wish you the best. One piece of advice would be to not drink your calories -- especially fruit juices... Skip the smoothies and cut down on your fruit intake. It only maintains your sugar cravings and won't help with weight loss. Also, eat when you are hungry - don't "plan" snacks. A.I.P. is not flexible. Follow the plan... I know you'll start seeing results!

Wahoo! I'm joining you on the AIP. Well, mostly AIP. I'm keeping some forbidden food in.

I've mentioned you on my latest post in regard to that

Congratulations! I often find that I have to kind of "slide" quietly into full compliance on an eating plan rather than trying to just jump in and go cold turkey. It helps me to spend a few days in a period of decreasing off plan foods until they are gradually gone and I'm smoothly sailing on the new eating plan. I hope this works for you just the way you want it to, and it seems like you have made a good start!
