I'm a couple days in to easing back into AIP, and I'm already starting to feel better. I'm back to having decaf tea with coconut milk and honey when I first get up, and have been having my old favorite breakfast most days: bacon, avocado, and a Clementine (and sometimes some sweet potato too.) One day I broke out the juicer and made myself a big glass orange/carrot/cantaloupe juice, which was delicious! (Too much natural sugar for AIP, probably, but a good way to help myself get off the processed sugar and junk without massive headaches). For dinner last night I made steaks with roasted pumpkin and broccoli. Snacks have just been fruit, apple chips, or plantain chips, since I have not had time to bake anything yet. I've been drinking bone broth and kombucha every day, and at least half of my intake volume is produce now and that's a big improvement.
It's nice to feel things going in the right direction again. Hoping for a better weigh in this Sunday!
I am 38 years old, female, a degree-holding stay-at-home-mom, and I weigh 278 pounds. I have been obese for ten years now. Time to get out of this fat prison I have made for myself.
--This is the original introduction I wrote when I first started this blog in 2007. I leave it as a reminder to myself of where I came from. Currently, I am 46 years old and weigh significantly less...see the blog for details. I lost 103 pounds, then had a partial regain, and am once again working at weight loss and better health.
