I'm back! We got home late last night from a really nice trip. The sunshine was wonderful; just having the sun on my skin for hours each day has truly helped my energy level and mood! I feel like I got a little taste of spring, and now the gloomy winter doesn't seem so bad. We spent a couple days on beaches and did some hiking in forests. Here's a few pics to see how pretty it was, even in winter!
I walked a lot of miles and got very sore but feel so much better and am inspired to keep up the walking here at home. Still, I weighed 248 this morning, up a pound from last week. I ate really well for the most part: fruit, nuts, some homemade chili with lean ground beef, veggies, and beans, an omelet full of onions, peppers, mushrooms, zucchini, and broccoli, and salads. When we went out to eat I had an excellent shepherd's pie (beef, vegetables, topped with mashed potatoes) and salad. I also split a big square of freshly made fudge with my daughter, drank a lot of decaf coffee with cream, and ate a small bag of potato chips on the way home.
Plan for this week: plenty of water, no junk, eat whole foods, exercise 6 days.
