Eating Update

This week has gone well so far and I've really enjoyed the things I've been eating. Besides the vegan meals that I reviewed this week, I've been eating things like spaghetti squash with meatballs...

...and cauliflower pizza...

low carb grain free cauliflower crust pizza

... as well as scrambled Egg Beaters with chicken sausage and light cheese, and Medifast and Wonderslim meals.

I've been biking each day for at least 15 minutes. Between PT, medication, splints, and stretches, my pain level is way, way down to about a 3-4/10 each day. I still can feel it if I am on my feet too long or walk too much and start to get sore enough to limp, so I try to stop before it gets to that point. I am *really* happy to have this activity level though, and am hopeful that I'll continue to get better and heal. Life is good!

By Lyn: I haven't been reading your blog very long so I'm out of the lop on what's causing your pain. Did you injure yourself? I wanted to tell you how much your post from few days ago resonated with me. I lost 30 pounds in 2011 before being diagnosed with breast cancer. In 2012 I had to have knee surgery for a torn meniscus, 2013 removal off gallbladder and now coming up on two weeks since a hysterectomy. I would still like to lose 40 to 50 pounds and since exercise doesn't come naturally to me all these setbacks have kept me from reaching that goal. Fatter each surgery I didn't jump back into working out then within a few months recovery keeps coming again. You make me feel like I'm not alone and I thank you for that.

hi 5dd..

Yes, I fell in October and was injured and on crutches/in an air cast for a month. On top of that I have plantar fasciitis and tendinitis. It's taken a long time to heal but I think I am on the right path now. You aren't alone... just don't give up! We'll both make our goals. I hope your recovery goes smoothly.
