Today was session #9 with the new physical therapists. I walked in the pool on the treadmill as usual, but this time I walked for 25 minutes at a higher speed than I ever have before. It felt great and I had no pain. The therapy pool is the BEST thing I have tried! I can feel a real difference not only in my pain level, but in my overall fitness as well. At each visit I also get ultrasound therapy and massage. Along with the medication, splints, and stretches, this PT seems to be helping me more than anything else I have tried in the past 2 years (the shots did eliminate the pain but did not heal the problem). I am very hopeful that this *could be* the answer and maybe I will be able to avoid surgery this summer after all. We'll see.

My eating is also back on track, although I do have a headache from getting back off the sugar and high carbs. I think tonight I am going to make a fresh mushroom and vegetable soup for dinner. Maybe I'll have some Rotisserie chicken with it. Feeling good!

that's wonderful hydro therapy works for so many health issues and hang in the headache will pass quickly.

I have a suggestion for you. I think this would really help. I think you have come to the realization that you need to keep your food very clean. I agree.

Another blogger used to track her clean food days as pearls. She was mentally stringing pearls. She counted those days. She thought of them as abstinence.

I suggest that you do something similar. One very visual thing is to get a very cheap calendar. On your clean food days, write CLEAN in black ink. On days like you had during and after the weekend, write SELF SABOTAGE in red ink.

Since it is so early in the year, you may be able to back track and fill in January and this first part of February. If you can't do it accurately, then just start with the last week or so.

I feel pretty strongly that you need to do this. I think you have a good shot at stopping your cycles and getting things turned around this time.
