Well I met another goal with this morning's weigh in. That goal was to lose weight each month in 2014 and I was a bit worried that I might not do it even in the very first month. On January 1st I weighed 230 pounds, and as of last Sunday I weighed 231. Thankfully this morning the scale was down two pounds to 229. So that's a pound lost in January. I'll take it.
This week I was more active than I have been in months. Aside from the usual stretching and PT exercises at home, I went to physical therapy twice, biked at home a total of 24 minutes, and twice I walked 4 blocks outside with the dog. I tracked my calories on Sparkpeople and averaged 1544 calories and 149 grams of carbs per day. I am VERY happy to see the loss on that level of calories, because I have gained on 1500-1600 calories in the past even with more exercise. I hope the trend continues and I will be very happy if I can keep up my activity level or slowly increase it each week.
