I am feeling better this afternoon than I have in many weeks. I'm not sure why; I'm not doing much different. But the emotional 'lift' is a welcome change. I am still dealing with sick kids (stomach bug with vomiting) but no one has puked since last night, so that's good. My feet feel just a bit better today. I started wearing compression socks on the advice of my physical therapist, so maybe that's helping a little.
I've been subbing Medifast, Wonderslim, and Bariwise foods for more of my snacks and for breakfast this week. I generally have been eating soup, crackers, and cheese for lunch and some kind of lean meat with vegetables for dinner. I have 1 or 2 servings of fruit each day... lately, Clementines... and then the rest is the packaged stuff. It's just been easier and convenient when I do not feel like cooking or prepping food. I have several boxes of Medifast food left from when I was doing that plan; I gave away a lot of the soy based stuff and then someone recommended some of the Wonderslim products so I ordered some to try. I love the apple cinnamon oatmeal for breakfast, especially since it is NOT soy based like Medifast's oatmeal is, and it is high protein and calorie controlled. So I eat that a lot, and a few other easy options. I know some folks are really anti-packet, but I think some prepared foods have their place, especially if you're trying to eat low carb and high protein. Frankly I have not had the energy or desire to cook or prep every day and these foods helped me stay nourished AND stay off the junk.
