Better Today? Not So sure About That.

Well that didn't take long. Today was not really better than yesterday at all. I am kinda glad my pedometer hasn't come in the mail yet, because if I had it on today my steps would be embarrassingly low. I spent a good part of the day today sitting. My daughter and I were not feeling well today. It started when she woke up this morning and shouted that she thought she was going to throw up, and then it was a mad scramble to the bathroom with a towel. She didn't actually throw up but was quite nauseous for about half the day and had a low grade fever. I set her up on the couch with a blanket, pillow, and bucket and we sat together for a good part of the day, watching movies, reading, playing quietly. A few hours later I got a headache and became nauseous myself. Not a pleasant day. But thankfully by evening she was sipping liquids and eating chicken soup and I was eating able do get my nutrition in via Medifast shakes, yogurt and even had some steamed cauliflower for dinner. She was super tired but otherwise recovered by bedtime and I am feeling back to normal. I think we were both fighting off a stomach bug; one of her friends came over last week and started throwing up in our house so I assume that's what we are dealing with.

On a brighter note, I am pretty sure this is the first time either my daughter or I have been sick at all since February. Not bad! I guess we are doing something right.

What I did right today: took all my supplements, stayed on plan, took care of myself and my child.

Hoping tomorrow is BETTER.

Sorry to hear your daughter (and you) weren't feeling well. I have down days where my pedometer reads very low (embarrassingly) low... but then there's the days where I feel like a pedometer rockstar, too. :)

Here's to a new day!

I'm glad the sickies went by quickly. I would love to hear your weigh in. Please consider weighing sooner just so you know what's going on (and so I can know too. I admit I have no idea what range your weight might be in. Do you think you are under 200 by now, or back up in the 220's, 230's?)

It sounds to me like you rocked the day. We can't be superstars everyday, cause life happens. You took care of yourself and your little one. I think that deserves a gold star.

I would guess I am in the 200-215 range. I don't think my weight has gone up or down much, and I weighed 208 last time I checked (late May or early June).

Is YOGURT on the Medifast Plan now? Or are you in the transition state?

yes, it is. Not regular yogurt, but Greek yogurt has been added to the approved Lean protein list. 12 ounces of Fage Total or Chobani 2% Greek yogurt is a lean.
