Short Update and Weight

Not a whole lot of excitement going on here today, just the same old stuff. Last night I felt horrible and was only able to eat half of my dinner. I did manage to eat all five Medifast meals during the day; thankfully, there are easy-to-stomach liquid options like an orange drink that gets the protein in without the carbs of juice. I laid on the couch from about 7 to 9:30 in the dark, then let the dogs out and went to bed. This morning I felt worse. Tons of face pain. But about an hour after I took my antibiotic, Sudafed, and supplements, the face pain got down to a tolerable level and I am coping better.

I'm just sipping coffee and homemade chicken stock, resting, planning to have the rest of my dinner from last night plus some extra veggies and a Greek yogurt cup for the rest of my protein today.

Scale is down 2 pounds to 220. I am going back to 'official' weigh ins on Sundays but it is nice to see the scale tick downward again.

Good for you, Lyn! In spite of being in pain and feeling terrible you are sticking to your plan and also getting some rest. My heart goes out to you with everything you are coping with, but I am also cheering you on because you have such a fighting spirit!

It really helps the morale to see the scale going in the right direction! Feel better fast.

Lyn, I hope you are feeling better soon!
I wanted to let you know that I had been suffering from some kind of strange joint pain for quite some time and I decided to try cutting out caffeine and haven't had any further problems. I wasn't sure if you already drink decaf or had already tried to cut out caffeine. My theory had been "you'll pry my coffee out of my cold dead hands!!" but once the pain was gone I had no desire to go back to it.

I know the kind of pain you suffer from is probably far more debilitating, so I'm not even sure it would make a difference but I thought I would mention it :)

So glad you are seeing the scales move in the right direction. Sorry you are still sick. Sinus infections are so hard to kick. My daughter has been fighting one for almost a month now. She is now on prednisone in addition to the antibiotics and still feeling terrible. Hope you are much better soon. Have a happy Thanksgiving.

You poor thing! I can't believe you are still under the weather. I just pray for a quick recovery and much success on Medifast. I know you will be feeling so much better once you get into the swing of it again. I love the no-brainer way of eating. No counting or planning. I love just grabbing the meals and going. I really enjoy planning my lean and green.
Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Congrats on the loss! I rarely every post but you have been on my daily reading list for years. I admire you lots for the bravery it takes to post even during a time of struggle and gain. Lots of people like to hide until they have good news to report, for fear of ridicule and losing readers. I love that you make the struggle real by showing us that it isn't all smiles and roses.
