Progress Pictures: 60 Pounds, Gone AGAIN

Finally, today I saw a better number on the scale... 217. That is actually back to 61 pounds gone, but I was waiting for 218 to take progress pictures so I could compare them to the last time(s) I was at that weight. You can go to this post to see my pictures in 2008 and 2010 at this same weight. Hopefully this will be the LAST pictures you EVER see of me this heavy. I realize the pics are a bit dark, but it's the best I can do right now. I need to get a lighter colored bedspread or a bedroom lamp!

Taken today: 217 pounds, size 16 jeans, size L shirt:

Anyway, this is my new starting point and it only gets better from here. :)

You need to retake those pictures outside! It's impossible to see your frame and I know you will want to be able to compare the next ten pounds down (coming soon ;) .

Good job on getting he Cale unstuck. It does wonders or the brain. Happy Medifasting, I'm there with you eating it!! :)

I posted a lightened and brightened version of your new pics on FB - feel free to use them if you want. And I will gladly remove them if in some way this bothers you.

You look good though!

Why don't you just take a picture in a room with better lighting? How about open a room with windows where you get lots of natural light? I can honestly barely see your or your body here....which seems to kind of take away from the point of posting progress photos!

You look great! Good for you for hanging in there and not giving up. It is so easy to quit when the results just aren't there. I'm glad you kept on going.

Lyn, you actually do look thinner than in the 2008/2010 photos. You probably have more muscle tone, which does make a difference.

Can you have one of your kids take a pic of you? Maybe with better lighting?

Glad you took new photos. Onward.

Place a sheet over the bedspread next time (or re-take these that way). Easy, inexpensive fix!

Can you manage to work in some weight bearing exercise? More muscle will definitely help the metabolism. I'm working on it, myself. Hrad to block off the time to learn all these moves!

You do look better now than then. I don't understand all the complaining about these photos. They are a little dark like you said, but I can see your outline just fine. Way to go!

Lyn, you look really good, though I also understand your desire to get healthier, stronger and more mobile as your motivation for wishing to lose weight.

I count myself among those who wonder why some of your readers are so invested in seeing you better. Why all the interest? what are they hoping to see? Do they hope that the dark parts will reveal that you weigh 300 pounds? I suspect that may be the frustration experienced by those who cannot get a good enough look at you. I cannot deny that I am enjoying their reactions and disappointment that you did post pictures.

Thanks, all, for the kind words :)

I promise to have more contrast next time I take pictures! Won't be long, just 9 more pounds.

Call me a weirdo, haha, but I've been reading this blog for a pretty long time now and like to see what's going on. I know I'm not the only one out there! That's why I'd like to see clearer photos....I like to see clear photos of all the blogs I read...that way we can see progress/regress. It's not really that fancy of a concept or anything implied, it's about linking about the words to the actual person.

Lyn, you look so much better in these photos than in the others. You CAN do this! - Julie from Australia.
