Improving

Today was a better day for me. I made a goal to be present and do as much as I could today while eating nourishing foods. I got a lot done. I could only work actively on my feet for about ten minutes at a time before fatigue set in; I think it will take me awhile to be 100%. Oh, and my washer is fixed, too! Happy day.

My eating is back to fairly normal and low carb again. No wheat, no gluten, no junk today. For dinner I browned up about two pounds of ground turkey breast in olive oil and mixed it into the rest of that big pot of cabbage soup I made the other day. I divided it into thirds and froze two portions for another time. It made a filling and yummy dinner with plenty of nourishing veggies and protein.

I was planning to step on the scale tomorrow morning to see how I am doing, but when TOM arrived today I changed my mind. I am always up a couple of pounds during that time of month, so I will wait a few days before checking. I weighed 219 on November 1 and hope to weigh less than that when I weigh again, probably on Saturday or Sunday. Frankly I really want to get back under 200 and am going to do whatever it takes (in a healthy way) to get there.

I'm glad you're on the mend. And I hope you get the results you like on the scales in a few days.

I am sure you will weigh less! You have been working so hard on your weight for so long and your determination is going to pay off.

It's a little demoralizing how long it takes to drop 20 or so pounds and just how rapidly you can pack it back on. I think you're a different person than you've been in the past and the struggles and setbacks you've overcome have given you new strength.

As always, I'm rooting for ya!
