Well here it is September... where did the time go? I got on the scale a few times this week and saw numbers I did not like at all. It messes with my head. So I am not getting on the scale again for at least a week or two while I continue my new exercise routine. I know muscles can retain water when one starts strength training, so I am hoping that's all it is and in two weeks I will see a number *lower* than 217 rather than higher. I refuse to let the scale dictate how I feel about myself. I need to focus on the exercise and the eating and let the results fall where they may. I can readjust in 2 weeks if I am not getting positive results. No scale until then.

I have no plans at all for tomorrow. I just want to stay home and relax. I need it! Life's been crazy and a break will be welcome. In fact, I just got home from errands, so I am starting my break right now! Time for an iced coffee and a little reading time. Catch you later!

Hi there! I've been reading your blog for quite sometime and really appreciate your honest and open approach to blogging. I've never commented before but i wanted to share a book that I recently read that has had a huge impact on me! Reading about your struggles is like reading about my own and having an "issue" with food was something that I was resolved to just deal with forever. Like it was my lot in life...but after reading this book, my perspective has shifted. It's called "Made to Crave" by Lysa TerKeurst. It takes the approach that we in fact were made to crave - but to crave God, not food. I just finished a 6 week study with this book and have lost 11 pounds (50 since the beginning on the year.) Whether or not it's of interest to you, I don't know...but just thought I'd share it :-)

Hey Girl!

Good for you taking a rest for today!

Just wanted to add in a food for thought... muscle weighs more than fat; so if you've been working out, not only could it be water retention, but an addition in weight as well to the muscle gain.

You'll get there
You go!
