This headache just isn't letting up. I get that when you cut carbs of *any* kind, there can be symptoms. But I wasn't that high in carbs before, so I dunno. A headache can really grind on you after awhile. Thankfully it does respond to Excedrin, so I take one in the morning if the headache is not gone by ten. It comes back in the evening but I just deal with it. I feel really great aside from the headache.

The scale still says 216. I was hoping for a nice dramatic drop but no. I will just keep plugging along, eating lots of produce and protein and healthy fat, staying off grains and sugar. The only sugar I have now is the occasional square of very dark chocolate. I am easily staying around 1300 calories a day or less, but might bump up to 1500 for a day or two this week.

Breakfast this morning was 1 egg, 3 bacon, 1/4 c Greek yogurt, 1/4 c blueberries, and coffee with a splash of half and half. I have to go out shopping for birthday party supplies again today. Will walk the dogs later and try to go to bed super early tonight as I am still not getting enough sleep.

Hey there Lynn thats the most common withdrawal symptom there is when coming off grains. It will lessen. Its like coffee withdrawal. You will probably get tired too. It happened to almost everyone on WB. You're doing great btw! :)

You should be eating as many calories as your body needs, just limit the carbs and make up the difference with healthy fats and protein. For women especially, calorie limiting diets lead to fat storage instead of fat burning, when a lot of weight has been lost. It's hormonal and based on your body's need to maintain enough energy for child bearing. When your body loses a lot of weight and you have restricted the amount of calories you're eating, your body goes into "starvation" mode. For men, this is not a problem. For women, though, it leads to fat storage, not fat loss. In fact, if the restricted calorie intake continues, healthy muscle may be sacrificed, in lieu of fats, to maintain energy stores.

You know what's good for a headache? Coming over and doing my laundry. WELL, HOW DO YOU KNOW IT WON'T HELP UNLESS YOU TRY IT!

So sorry about your headache! Could it be allergy-related? I hope it goes away soon.

Did you get another dog after your senior dog died? I know you have your Shepherd pup, but I don't remember reading about you getting another one.

You are doing great on your food plan, good for you!

I think it's some kind of withdrawal from the stuff I was eating before.

The same week my older dog passed away, I found a stray running in the street. I finally found her owners who did not want her anymore. They told me to "keep it." So I brought her home, gave her a bath and am trying to find her a perfect forever family.

Just make sure you're not going to bed early because you're not eating enough.
