Today's Eats

Today started with a headache but it went away after lunch.

Breakfast:
black coffee
1/2 banana
protein shake

Snack:
1 c low fat milk
1 oz almonds

Lunch:
1/2 c Greek yogurt
1/2 c fresh local sweet cherries
1 Tbsp Barlean's lemon fish oil (mixed into the yogurt, yummy)

Snacks:
1 string cheese
1 homemade iced latte (milk + coffee + ice)

Heavy on the dairy today... didn't have any meat prepared and was tired of eggs.

Dinner is in the crock pot:
chicken breast tenderloins + fresh salsa (I will have 4 oz chicken and 1/4 c salsa)
1/2 diced fresh avocado
2 Tbsp sour cream
5 sliced black olives
1/2 c sugar snap peas (fresh, local, raw)
1/2 c local blueberries

Total after dinner will be: 1155 calories, 87 g protein, 104 g carbs, 49 g fat

I will probably have 100 calories of protein before bed.

Walked a mile today, and will walk another mile after dinner. I did walk an extra mile last night as well, and so far my knees are holding up fine. My feet ache a bit but it is tolerable. That's all for today.

Ugh. You just reminded me that I forgot to take my fish oil today. And yesterday. And the whole week! Yikes!

I love salsa chicken. I have it on a salad or I add a can of beans and a can of corn to make soup.
