I really felt like I might have eaten too much today, because I was not counting my calories all along. I weighed and measured but hadn't added it all up yet. I was just so satisfied and everything tasted wonderful. But get this:
After my breakfast of 2 eggs, 1 bacon, coffee, snap pea pods and blueberries, I've had
Lunch:
4 oz chicken breast
2 Tbsp fresh salsa
2 Tbsp sour cream
1/3 of an avocado
1/2 c raw sugar snap peas
Snack:
big mug of coffee w/2Tbsp half and half
1 oz pumpkin seeds
1 square of dark chocolate
1/2 c fresh local blueberries
Dinner:
1/2 baked sweet potato
1/2 frozen banana + 1/2 c blueberries + 2 oz unsweetened almond milk, blended
It is 6:30 and I am *full*. I was going to have some meat with dinner but wasn't that hungry.
Total so far today? Only 979 calories, 84 g carbs, 59 g protein, 49 g fat.
I will have another 200 calories of protein before bed.
I walked about 2 miles today.

I'm so happy to have found your blog! I recently started on a journey to lose 200 pounds and it's so inspiring to find others who have lost a lot of weight as well. I look forward to being a regular reader! Check out my blog at http://curdsnweigh.blogspot.com
I've found this to consistently be the case when eating primal / paleo. You just don't get that hungry and 'real' food seems to be satisfying in a way that it isn't when you're eating grains and sugars. I think others have mentioned this already, but I highly recommend reading It Starts With Food. Some really good (clear!) explanations of how our 'hunger hormones' work and why getting off grains and sugars makes a difference. I've also just recently picked up the book Why We Get Fat which I think covers some similar material.
