Just a Little Update

EVERYBODY in my house is sick except the pup.

I cleaned up so much vomit over the past 2 days, it is not even funny. Twenty loads of wash in 3 days... sheets, blankets, towels, you name it. Not everyone is sick with the same thing though. We are also going through boxes of Kleenexes like crazy. I personally have a cold with a cough. The old dog is hacking up a lung, and the poor old cat hasn't eaten in two days. Vet trip in the morning.

The main bathroom sink is leaking and everything in the vanity got soaked. Plumber coming shortly.

Hoping for a better day tomorrow!

Good luck! We all have those days...or weeks...or even months. I hope things will turn around quickly at your house.

Oh My Goodness!

You are having a rough time. Do hope everyone is on the mend.

Reaching out across the ocean wishing there was something useful I could do.

Blessings.

Sometimes God gives us things to teach us a lesson about something. Try and find the lesson in this. God does everything for a reason. I hope you all feel better soon.

Oh my gosh! 20 loads of wash in three days. I don't do that much wash in a month! Okay, everyone needs a bucket to throw up in.

Sure hope you don't get their sickness...although, might be a good way to lose weight. ;) Just kidding!

Oh - and I have to say something about anonymous....God does this for a reason??? Tell me Lyn, what is the lesson here...that everyone needs a bucket by their bed? Sorry, but that kind of cracked me up. No offense to anonymous. I'm sure they meant well. Just struck me as funny. I bet God is even laughing. :)

Take care of yourself.

Wow, that's torture!

At the first sign of vomiting, we always hand out the barf bowl. It's a large mixing bowl that is set next to whomever is sick, wherever they are. It goes with that person everywhere.

I remember a year or so ago being so thankful everyone could make it to the toilet. And then just a couple of months ago my 5 year old vomited all over the basement as he was trying to get out the door (to the yard). My 13 year old was babysitting and he told him to go outside to throw up. I asked him--why not the bathroom? Then I explained (again--for like the millionth time in 15 years) that when we feel like we are going to throw up, we run, not walk, to the bathroom. One day....

Thanks all...

Yeah, it was pretty bad. The puking started at 2am so most of the laundry was bedding... all the blankets, sheets, pillows, comforter, mattress pads, pajamas... everything. We got puke buckets out but there were a few misses. Lots of towels under the buckets for misses. Gosh what a mess. The puking is now over and all we have left are some colds and one kid with diarrhea... oh, and the animals. Dealing with that shortly.

Hope you all feel better. Is it possible that something that you frequently use from the organic stuff is contaminated? The stuff with shelf life and preservatives lasts longer...... So perhaps you have kept something past the organic best before date by accident?

Hmmm, I don't think so, but that's a good thing to keep in mind. There are some stomach viruses going around with the kids here so I think it was just that.
