This week I started back to dog sports classes with my puppy. She is not so much a puppy anymore except in her attitude; she's more than a year old, and weighs about 70 pounds. You may remember I got her as a 100-pounds-gone present to myself with the dual purpose of her being my activity buddy. She is awesome for that! Not only do we take lots of walks together, but we also do agility and other dog sports! Let me tell you, agility *really* is a physically demanding dog sport for the handler! I am so wiped out this week I need someone to scrape me off the ground with a spatula. But we are having fun, and I am certainly getting in shape. I'm also still biking, walking, and doing PT, even though I am drained. I do it anyway.
I am taking the dog and two kids on a road trip soon. We'll be heading almost 3 hours away for a medical appointment for one of the kids. Nothing serious this time, just an annual checkup. So, lots of hours in the car but we will stop and walk a couple of miles with the pup and maybe when we get home I will bike. If not, it will just be my one day off from biking per week. I usually take Sundays off, but I'm flexible.
Stuff I've been eating this week:
Lots of veggie cereal, almond milk, berries, yogurt, eggs, Rotisserie chicken, fresh asparagus, nuts, sunflower butter, 3 squares of Godiva white chocolate, 1/4 of a cookie my daughter shared with me, tuna, milk from local grass fed cows, veggie stew, chicken sausage, salad, and too much almond butter.
Slow progress is still progress, right?
