Tip of the Day

Tip of the day:

When you are in a big hurry and have a very busy day, and decide to make your dinner early, and spend time defrosting, prepping, cooking, weighing, and cutting up your chicken breast to put over your salad, DO NOT leave the bowl of cooked, measured, cut up chicken strips in a bowl on the counter to cool, even for ONE SECOND, because you will be incredibly pissed off when you turn around to help your child with something and your dog PUTS HER PAWS ON THE COUNTER, STICKS HER BIG WET SNOUT IN YOUR BOWL OF CHICKEN, AND STARTS EATING IT.

That is all.

Oh no! I, luckily, do not have that problem as my dogs are only 8-10 lbs and aren't tall enough to do something like that (unless we set food on our coffee table for a sec., then we have a problem).
That sucks!

I hope the pooch didn't sit there with a smile on his face :)

My mother's dog would do that.
I swear that dog would look up.
Look all around. As if to say
"What? What chicken? I didn't see any chicken...."
Somewhere between amazing and disgusting!

Lol, I hate it when that happens!! What ended up to be Plan B?

Well, the dog got a really healthy and perfectly measured meal today! I bet she feels great!

I had a meal pre-made in the freezer from a month ago: ground beef, zucchini, tomatoes, mushrooms, and spinach. Saved the day.

Glad you had a Plan B.

Yeah, I've had this one happen to me-I didn't let the dog in the kitchen until the food was put away. Thank you for the good laugh. And so glad you had a back-up.

Later you'll be able to laugh more about this if not now. We've had two old dogs pass away in the last couple of years and I remember their antics more fondly now then ever. We had to restrict candy at our home because the Newfoundland had a serious sweet nose/tooth and didn't mind consuming wrappers along with the candy! On the flip side, he crack and ate out the meat from walnuts that came from the neighbor's tree without ever eating the walnut shells.
