Ohhh, a 5-minute Break!

My goodness, seriously, I barely have five minutes to sit down and type all day! Pup is asleep under the coffee table right now, and this is the most "me time" I have had in days!! I am getting a great workout carrying the pup up and down a flight of stairs to go potty 20 times a day, walking and playing with her in the yard, and cleaning up the messes she makes. She likes to get a drink of water from the water bowl and then she just sort of casually picks up the metal bowl (with water in it) and prances away, tipping and spilling water from the kitchen to the end of the living room. I think we need a new water dish...

I am very busy but enjoying it a lot. I volunteered at my daughter's school today, took pup to the vet, and cleaned up the yard. I barely have time to THINK about eating. It took me 2 hours to get one Medifast Hot Cocoa down because I'd take a sip and have to jump up and deal with puppy and/or kid stuff every other minute. But you know, I just love it. She is a gorgeous dog and I am lucky to have her, and she is just EXCELLENT with other people and animals. I am quite happy!

Hope to have a little more time over this 3-day weekend to catch up with the blogging world. I hope you all are kicking butt with your health/weight loss goals!

Your new puppy is adorable! A german sheperd will be a great activity partner. They are excellent hikers and have the stamena for running. Enjoy!

A beautiful puppy! Get a heavier water bowl though. :)

What an adorable puppy!!! Definitely get a new water bowl. The kind with a large plastic bottle that keeps the bowl full for you would be way too heavy for her to pick up!

Awww, what a cutie. I have a 2 yr old German Shepherd and she keeps me going. My baby did the same thing with the water dish and as she got older she would put both of her feet in the water bowl and splash around....lol Have fun with her!!

Awesomeness! And happiness, it sounds like. I was going to agree with David - a bigger bowl. In fact, we use an old soup pot for Lou's bowl because he's big, and just his lapping at the water would splash it everywhere. Now - not a drop. You sound great, Lyn. Congratulations on the new baby :)

Ceramic Water bowl is a great investment... Congrats on your new addtion... I'd like to say it gets easier... but honestly, I think my puppy is naughtier at 6 months (like stealing stuff to chew and destroy, getting in the trash) than she ever did before... It's good for them that they are cute....

She's gonna be a big dog and that breed can be headstrong and needs a great pack leader, so as an owner of another large-breed dog, make sure you're watching plenty of Dog Whisperer!! LOL. I have an excellent, amazing, wonderful, beloved large breed dog and they really are the best! Congrats on your new baby :)
