A Good Eating Day, and Something Strange...

Today was a very satisfying day for me food wise. Every so often, I like to record here what I ate in a day. I think it helps me as I look back and see what I've been doing over time, and it also helps others understand how I am shedding the weight. I felt *so* satisfied today, even though I got really hungry in the middle of the day and decided to eat part of my "dinner" protein as a snack. Here's how the day went:

7AM: hot lemon green tea
8AM: Medifast cinnamon pretzels. Cup of Dunkin Donuts Mocha Mint coffee with 2 T half & half and one packet of Splenda
10AM: grilled cheese sandwich made from Medifast Cream of Tomato soup + 1/4 cup EggBeaters and a Kraft 2% cheese slice, made in the sandwich maker.
12:30PM: Medifast Hot Cocoa with a tablespoon of PB2 mixed in (Reeses PB Cup Hot Cocoa, yum).
2:30PM: 2 low fat string cheese sticks and half of a diet soda
3:30PM: bag of Medifast honey mustard pretzels
6PM: one can of tuna mixed with 1 cup of spring mix lettuce and 1 cup of shredded cabbage, tossed with a few Tablespoons of light Sesame dressing. So yummy!
8:30PM: cinnamon swirl chocolate chip muffin made from Medifast pancake mix, and a cup of Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride tea.

Ahhh. What a good day. Feeling great!

And something fun happened to me yesterday, too! I was driving my car when I reached down to scratch my knee and I was shocked to feel some kind of weird, hard thing with edges RIGHT at my knee joint! OMG! It was a KNEECAP! Who knew?? I actually ran my fingers over my knee for about 5 minutes (and checked to make sure there was one on the other leg, too!) I have not felt the edges of my kneecaps in.... like... forever! It was just so crazy. I have been feeling my kneecaps all day :)

Have a great, awesome, wonderful day!

Oh my gosh -- that is SOOO funny about the knee cap thing. A total LOL moment. :-) Congrats. Don't you love seeing results in other ways (aside from the scale). Knee caps. Good one. I will have to look forward to that some day. ;-)

ok the grilled cheese mock-up is pretty funny! But sounds tasty.
thank goodness for the internet to help us pool ideas on things like these diets, right?

Hehe! A kneecap (or two!) was my FAVORITE thing to feel after losing a few dozen pounds. Love it!

I remember "re-discovering" my knees, too! They looked/felt so bony!

You keep feeling and looking at them, trying to believe they're yours - but they are!!

I'm so jealous of all the weird diet concoctions available in the USA. Powdered Peanut Butter? Who knew? The diet and low calorie industry in the UK practically doesn't exist in comparison. I wanna go diet food shopping. WAH.

Congrats on discovering your kneecap, how funny.

Yea for knee caps! So cool. The first thing I really noticed after dropping the 73 pounds I recently lost is Shoulders! I can't believe I have shoulders now... Oh! And little collar bones! Who knew?

I am inspired by you every day...

Laughing at your kneecap discovery Lyn!:)

I have always admired people with 'bones'. I don't mean bony people, I mean people who have slender ankles (bone prominent) lovely wrist-bones, and a hip bone that is discernable..as well as nice, slim hands and a face with a lovely profile.

I am working on finding my jaw-bone again. It's in there somewhere!:)
