Review & Giveaway: Medifast Lean & Green Meal Cookbook

I've just completed a review of Medifast's new cookbook; for those of you NOT on Medifast, you might like to click through for a healthy, low carb recipe I've included in the review: Broccoli Chicken Dijon. Yummy, with pictures! I am also giving away THREE copies of the cookbook to 3 lucky winners (you don't have to be on Medifast to enter or enjoy this cookbook; all the recipes use normal ingredients and the meals are healthy for anyone!) Click below to read the review and enter the giveaway. Winners will be announced on Tuesday, May 18th. Good luck!

Lyn, I had a question. You mentioned you are limited on condiments on Medifast. So how do you currently season your evening meals? Are there any condiments that are "unlimited"? Just curious. Thanks.

Laryssa~

Medifast allows 3 condiments a day. For example, one condiment is usually about a half teaspoon of various dried herbs; some, like dried parsely, allow larger portions (1Tbsp). For fresh basil you get a whole cup! Stuff like soy sauce or balsamic vinegar is 1tsp. I used combo seasonings too like Mrs. Dash.

So, usually 3 condiments is enough for my dinner; if I am making a family dinner, I just take my best guess. Sometimes if something seems bland I go ahead and add more seasoning even though that goes over my limit. If my weight loss stalls then I will be more careful about the seasonings.

I am just starting week 4 on Medifast! I have lost 23 pounds and am so excited to continue! I would love the cookbook for my Lean and green meals...I am in a little rut and need to keep motivated. I also cook the l & G for my family as our dinner. They would be happier with some new recipes to try! I love your blog and I read it everyday. It motivates me to keep trying!
