I am SO excited today! I finally am back down to 218 which means SIXTY pounds gone! The last time I hit this milestone was in June of 2008! It had taken me 10 months to lose 60 pounds. Then in late August after hitting a low of 214, my weight shot back up into the 220s and I spent the next 18+ months struggling between 225 and 245. Now after 20 months of working at it and never giving up, I'm back to 218 and couldn't be happier today! I took some new pictures to celebrate, as well as to see how my body has changed over time.
The picture in green is from 2008; the one in pink was taken today. In both pictures, I weighed 218 pounds.

I am just so thrilled I could sing and dance! But instead, I made myself a breakfast of matcha green tea, scrambled Medifast eggs, a Morningstar Farms sausage patty, and some hazelnut coffee with half & half and sugar free vanilla syrup. And I will take a nice long walk in the sunshine this afternoon. I strength trained my upper body yesterday and emotionally I feel amazing today!
If I could share one big, important, *essential* concept with everyone who reads this, it would be this: NEVER give up. If it takes you a month, if it takes you six months, if it takes you a year or even if it takes you TWENTY MONTHS to go from 225 to 218, DO IT. Just do it. It is SO worth it, the time will pass anyway and you can be fatter or thinner at the end of that time. I am so glad I did not throw in the towel and go back to bingeing when I didn't get the results I wanted. Just keep working at it. Try different things. Do not give up and you will get there!
