Rest in Peace, Bethany, our friend and fellow blogger

It is with a very sad heart that I found out this morning that a long-time blogging buddy Bethany passed away last night of a sudden heart attack. She was in her early 30's and leaves her two young sons and husband behind. I am deeply saddened for the family. Bethany has supported me on this journey for a long time and I enjoyed her blog, The Great Reduction. Deep condolences to her sister who let me know about her passing and to the rest of the family.

Bethany, you will be missed. Prayers for peace especially for your beautiful boys and your husband who was your best friend. Let's all take a moment in prayer for the family today and also to remember how precious life is.

Thanks Lyn. I also wrote a brief thing about Bethany's passing. Very sad, very shocking. She was a wonderful woman who was entirely supportive of me as well. I join you in prayer.

That is such a tragic loss. It's comforting to know that she left behind good memories of what a dear and loved person she was. I will definitely be sending peaceful and comforting thoughts to the boys and her husband. Everyone should tell their family they love them everyday and I suspect she was probably one of those people who knew that simple truth.

Hello Lyn, I just found your blog last night. You inspired to me write down some recipes last night, go to the store and start my new way of life today! I went to some of the other blogs you have and found Bethany's. I am so sad to hear this news! It's made me more determined than ever to get my weight off and get healthy! I'm 51 and need to lose about 75 pounds! I will do it! Keep up the great work! I'll be checking in your blog a lot! Who knows I may start my own! Thank you so much!

That's so horrible. God bless her family and may they find peace and know that she will always be with them in spirit.

After I posted here the first time, I went to read her blog, had never seen it before. It was so heartbreaking to read, she seemed so desperately unhappy. Knowing what happened, it's hard not to wish she could have just enjoyed her family and life for the short time she had left.

How sad.
I looked at Bethany's blog and just a few days ago she was writing about the nuisance of not having a tumle drier for her clothes.

Little, daily concerns and now she has gone...

I feel so sorry for her loved ones. She seemed such a lovely, positive lady.

Live for the day eh? We must.
