Doing Great!

Today is going well for me! I woke up with PMS screaming in the background, feeling teary and bloated, but determined to hang in there and add another good, healthy day to the string. I am pretty hormone-sensitive, and thankfully the whole PMS thing was over by noon (after 3 or 4 days of it) and I am feeling great again!

This morning after a breakfast of Chai tea and a Kashi waffle topped with natural almond butter and fresh blueberries, I went to the Farmer's Market. It's still early in the year for a lot of produce, but I did manage to get a few things: strawberries, beets with nice fresh greens still attached, a jug of locally pressed fresh apple cider, some local honey, and rainbow chard. And I had 2 fresh fruit smoothie samples at the market too... yummy! I came home and had some Veggie Cereal with almond milk, a handful of fresh strawberries and a small glass of cider. I think I will make myself a salad with leftover chicken fajitas on top, too. I feel the need for some protein.

This morning I stepped on the scale, even though I felt terribly bloated with PMS. Scale said 237. Another pound gone!

I already did quite a bit of walking today, but plan to get on the bike later this afternoon as well.

Have a great weekend!

Way to go Lyn. This post really goes with Yesterdays post (you woke up feeling teary and bloated but did the right actions anyways). Love hearing about your farmers market trips. Keep adding days to that string!

Yay! I'm glad you're having such a great day!

I can SO relate to the hormone thing... especially this week! It usually doesn't effect me too much... but I am grumpy, irritable, and I just feel like crawling in bed and staying there for the next week! Aaagggh!

I love going to the farmer's market! There is such awesome stuff there. It inspires me to go home and cook a good, healthy meal.

Hmmm... perhaps I need to go to the farmer's market tomorrow! Thanks for the idea!

That's awesome! I just started my own weight loss journey two weeks ago at 277 pounds...so we started at the same place!

PMS hit a week into it and it's really hard not to indulge in candy and ice cream or to make myself go to the gym when im crampy and bloated. But I've stuck to it and you are a huge inspiration!

I look forward to seeing even more of your successes!

wondered all weekend - if you didn't have time to post or if your 'high' from Friday then flipped to a low - ?

Congrats on the pound gone with PMS hitting you! Wanted to go to the Farmers Market yesterday morning, but thought spending the day in the ER would be more fun. :-P NOT!

I don't write for a living at the moment. I am a stay-at-home mom. But I do love to write!
