Oh the Irony...

So on the recommendation of a reader, I bought a book called Getting Things Done, so I could, ya know, get things done. Which meant I had to add reading this book to my list of things to do. And I've been busy, and stuff is just piling up so I put the book aside because I have some actual THINGS to get done. But this morning, I finally get it together and motivate myself to sit down and read this book for 15 minutes, and the book is freaking GONE! I can't find it anywhere! I lost the book in my clutter. Sigh...

Irony indeed! You'll find it. It will be in the last place you look. lol

I bought this book, never got around to reading it, and eventually donated it to Deseret Industries (A Utah version of Salvation Army). So I got something done out of it all, i suppose.

Lyn - too funny! You'll find it, don't worry. In the meantime, if your life is totally out of control clutterwise etc right now -just apply the "one thing at a time" rule. Tackle one project for now - start out with a small one so you can see almost instant success (it fuels your momentum). Then move on to the next one and FINISH it. It may sound like slow going but, believe me, it works! Before you know it your list of "to do's" will be gone - and probably in the time it would have taken to read the book! LOL Look at it this way - you can read about doing - or you can do - which will be more productive for you? Although, I do know that a lot of inspiration CAN come from a good book! Good Luck, dear -I'm sending you positive vibes!

That's an excellent book, I highly recommend it. In fact, I should read it again, too. Um...except I don't know where my copy is, either! :D Getting my house and life better-organized is my second major goal area for this year, right behind health and fitness.

I'm new to your blog (and weight loss planning in general). I just saw your 60 pounds gone post and omg, you're AMAZING! What a transformation. I'm in the early stages, okay, I just started and it's really hard. It's blogs like yours that will keep me going, I think.
