Sick

Ahhh, I am sick! I was feeling okay this morning, but by the time I got home from the library with my daughter, I had a sore throat. I popped a couple of Cold-Eese lozenges and went on about my day. A couple hours later, WHAM!! It hit me. Bad, bad head cold.

I am pretty out of it. Nose running, tired, slight fever, you know the drill. When I realized this was coming on, I hurried and made some Magic Chicken Soup. It really is an amazing soup. Easy to make and always makes you feel better when you're sick. And it did help, for awhile. But now I am typing through the haze. I can't smell. My nose is stuffed. This sucks!!

I did indulge in a serving (yes A serving, not two or three) of Green Tea Ice Cream. It just sounded so good and felt wonderful on my raw throat. I got myself some extra soft Kleenexes, fresh orange juice, and some Acai berry light sorbet for tomorrow.

So until I am feeling better... be well!

3 out of 6 of us had something similar about a week ago. It was rough but I just kept everyone hydrated, OTC medicated, and we made it through. I think the kids brought home the germ from school. The cold season begins here when kids go back to school. I think I will add extra C to everyones morning vitamin ritual ;)

Get some rest (if possible) and hope you are feeling 100% very soon!

Where do you get green tea ice cream?

I love your blog =). Congrats on your success. I too lost weight about three years ago. I started out at 225 and worked my way to my goal weight of 135-140. It is a hard journey that I still struggle with daily, but your right- it's worth it.

A tip for the stuffy nose; rub vicks on the bottoms of your feet and put on a pair of socks...it should help clear your nose. Strange, but true!

Hope you feel better real soon!

Hey Annette,

I got the green tea ice cream in Safeway. I just happened to notice it because it was GREEN. But beware, it is not low fat or anything so I cant recommend it as a regular treat. It is Haagen Dasz. Beware!! :)
